The biggest and most colorful market in Northwest Vietnam. Every Sunday, Flower H'Mong, Tay, and Phu La people descend from the mountains in vibrant traditional dress. Shop for handmade brocade, silver jewelry, medicinal herbs, and buffalo. A cultural explosion you won't find anywhere else.

Can Cau Saturday Market
Off the beaten path. Every Saturday, Can Cau Market unfolds on a hillside near the Chinese border. Mostly Flower H'Mong and Giay minorities trade cattle, pigs, and handwoven textiles. Less touristy than Bac Ha, 100% authentic. The 3-hour drive offers stunning views of terraced valleys.

Two gems in one day. Sunday morning at Muong Hum Market: Giay, Red Dao, and H'Mong minorities gather to trade farm goods and embroidery in a valley setting. Afternoon hike to Dragon Waterfall — a hidden 100m cascade surrounded by jungle. Culture in the morning, nature in the afternoon.
